"I’ve found the automation builder useful overall..."
I’ve found the automation builder useful overall, especially the email triggers. For the way we use it, it definitely gets the job done. That said, it can start to feel a little messy once you’ve got more going on, and some of the settings aren’t exactly where I’d expect them to be. My take is that it’s a solid tool if you’re willing to poke around a bit, but it’s not the easiest thing to use right away...

"Am I the only one who finds the dashboard kind of clunky?"
Am I the only one who feels like the dashboard layout is a bit all over the place? I’ve been using it and the UI just feels kind of messy, like I have to hunt around more than I should to find what I need.

"Took me a while to get the hang of it"
ActiveCampaign definitely has a ton of features, which is great, but at first I was kind of lost. I was just trying to set up a few basic automations and somehow it took way longer than I thought it would. I kept bouncing between the app and help articles like... okay, what am I missing here. Maybe once you spend more time with it, it starts to click, but for me the learning curve felt a bit much. It’s not bad software, just not something I’d call super beginner-friendly.

"We use the ActiveCampaign API to sync..."
We use the ActiveCampaign API to sync contacts and tags from our app, and it’s been solid for us. I’ll admit I was a little worried at first because I’ve been burned before by tools that look great in the docs but fall apart once you actually rely on them. Thankfully, that hasn’t been the case here. The docs were clear enough to get going, and most days it just works without us having to think about it. We did run into one small issue, but support pointed us in the right direction quickly.

"So far, it’s been solid. Our..."
So far, it’s been solid. Our emails seem to be landing in inboxes a lot more often now, and just from the tone of the replies we’re getting, I’m assuming people are actually seeing them instead of them getting buried in spam.

"I mean, the reports are okay, I guess..."
I mean, the reports are okay, I guess. They get the basic job done, but I kind of expected a little more detail or polish. Not terrible, just not quite as helpful as I was hoping.

"Pretty clear billing overall"
Overall, the billing was easy to understand. I went through it while having my morning coffee, and most of the charges made sense right away. There was just one fee that threw me off a bit, so I had to look at it twice, but other than that it was clear enough.
"Setup was way more confusing than promised"
I bought this expecting a simple setup because they made it sound so easy, but that definitely wasn’t my experience. It was confusing from the start, and I ended up wasting a lot more time than I expected. Frustrating when something doesn’t deliver on what was promised.

"I’ve been trying to be patient with it..."
I’ve been trying to be patient with it, but the platform just feels heavy. Pages take too long to load, automations lag, and sometimes reports just freeze up, like, give me a break. Support has been fine overall, but the day-to-day experience ends up wasting more time than it should. It’s not terrible, just frustrating.

"Works well for my shop"
It’s been working well with my Shopify store so far. The sync does what I need it to do, which is the main thing. Setup was a little confusing at first, and I did wonder if they made it that way on purpose so you’d need extra help, but once I got through it, everything started running fine.

"Useful platform, but the cost can sneak up on you"
I’ve had a good experience with ActiveCampaign overall. The automations are genuinely helpful, and setting up emails is fairly straightforward once you get used to it. For me, it makes sense as a tool if you’re really making use of the features, but the pricing started to feel a little harder to justify as my contact list grew. It’s one of those platforms that seems affordable at first, especially for a small business, but then the monthly cost creeps up faster than expected. I don’t think it’s a bad value exactly, but I do wish there was a more reasonable middle-tier option for businesses that need solid features without jumping into a much higher price range.

"ActiveCampaign CRM gets the job done for..."
ActiveCampaign CRM gets the job done for keeping track of deals and contacts, and for basic sales stuff it works fine. That said, it can feel a bit clunky at times, especially when you’re moving things around or trying to find your flow. I’d say it’s good enough for a small sales setup, but it would be a lot better if the interface felt smoother and easier to use.

"The training stuff didn’t really help me"
I tried going through the training, but help me it did not. I couldn’t really learn anything from it, and I just ended up more confused than before.

"Getting started was easier than I thought..."
Getting started was easier than I thought it would be. The setup call made lists and automations feel a lot less confusing — I didn’t feel like I was just thrown in and left to figure it out. I had one small question afterward, and support got back to me quickly. So far, ActiveCampaign feels simple enough that I’ll actually keep using it...

"Nice looking templates, could use a little more flexibility"
I’ve been using ActiveCampaign mostly for email stuff, and the templates look good. They’re clean, modern, and I don’t have to spend forever fixing things before sending. Swapping images, changing colors, and getting a decent email together is quick.
The only reason I’d go 4 stars is that some of the templates feel kinda same-y, and a few sections are weirdly annoying to adjust. Not a huge deal, but it does slow me down sometimes. Still, for regular day to day emails, it works well and saves me time...

I was expecting the whole data migration to be a headache, but it actually went smoothly. I started moving everything over and, i kept waiting for something to go wrong, but it just worked without any real stress.

"Gets messy once your business starts growing"
activecampaign was fine for us in the beginning, especially when our list was smaller and we only had a few automations running. But once we started adding more contacts, more campaigns, and more people on the team, it started to feel clunky. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like a tool like this should get easier to rely on as you grow, not more stressful.
The pricing also climbed faster than I expected, and some things that felt simple early on became way more annoying to manage at scale. We spent a lot of time double-checking workflows, fixing little issues, and making sure nothing had randomly broken. I kept wondering if other teams run into the same thing, because it felt like we were constantly babysitting it.
Support wasn’t awful or anything, but it wasn’t fast enough when we really needed answers. activecampaign does work, and I can see why smaller teams like it, but I’m not convinced it scales as smoothly as it should. If your business is growing quickly, I’d definitely think twice and make sure it won’t turn into a time sink for your team too.

"I mostly use activecampaign because it plays..."
I mostly use activecampaign because it plays nicely with a bunch of tools we were already using, like Shopify, Zapier, Google Sheets, and our forms. I’m not exactly the most technical person, so I was kind of expecting setup to be more painful, but most of it was straightforward.
That said, some integrations definitely feel smoother than others. There were a few settings I couldn’t find right away, and I did have those moments where I wondered if I was just missing something obvious. I ended up digging through the help docs more than once to figure things out.
Overall, it’s been reliable for us. I wouldn’t say it’s perfect, and maybe some of that is just me still learning my way around it, but it does save time and keeps me from having to move data around manually as much.

"Support definitely knew what they were talking about..."
Support definitely knew what they were talking about and helped me sort things out. It did take a while to get a reply, so I found myself checking my email and receipt details a couple times while waiting. Overall, helpful experience, just not the fastest.

"Lots packed in, takes a bit to get used to"
Was surprised by how much ActiveCampaign can do. The automations, tags, lists, and reporting go deep, and once I started seeing how everything connects, it became way more useful.
Only reason I’d call it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it feels a little crowded at first. Took some clicking around to find certain settings, but overall, been really solid for us
